Here is an example of a recently donated vehicle to the Mission.  It's a 1995 Pontiac Trans Sport minivan.  It was in such good shape that we sold our current van used for Mission business and transportation and replaced it with this one.  Even though its older, it is very reliable and clean.

"Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely, who conducts his affairs with justice."

--Psalm 112:5
How We'll Use it:
Your used vehicle can be converted into a gift for the poor and also give you a valuable tax deduction at the same time.  We will use your vehicle to provide more meals, shelter, rehabilitation, and lasting hope for hurting men, women, and children we serve in the Las Vegas area.

What We Accept:

We will accept any type of vehicle.  From cars, boats and RVs to airplanes, all we ask is that the vehicle be worth more then it would cost us to transport and sell.

How To Donate:
To donate your vehicle call William Melville at (702) 382-1766.  We will pick-up your vehicle promptly and process the DMV paperwork for you.  If you contact us during normal business hours, we can arrange to have it picked as soon as possible.

Tax Deductable:

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, gifts to which are tax deductible as charitable contributions on federal and state income tax purposes as allowed by law.  The value of your tax deduction is based on the fair market value of the vehicle or the price of the vehicle when the Mission sells it, which ever is lower.  For example, if you donate a vehicle that has a fair market value of $5000 but the Mission actually sells the vehicle for $4,500 then your deduction would be $4,500.  Other rules apply if the vehical is worth less then $500, or if the Mission uses the vehicle, rather then sells it.
