Jesus Christ has given me my life back, with the help of the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. I have found God once again...I find without God I can do nothing, but with Him, all things are possible.

I have tried several times to get my life in order, but I could not…

Let me tell you a few things about myself. I started using alcohol at age 8 and pot by age 9. As I got older beer and pot was not enough for me, so I started using cocaine, all at once. It grabbed me. I wanted nothing else, not even my freedom.

The drug was too much for me, it had me stealing and lying To supply my drug habit. It didn’t take long before I got caught and wound up in jail because of my drug use. After coming to the Rescue Mission, I’ve found there is more to life.

No, its not an easy task. I have to work on my self for the rest of my life. But I’m with it.

God and the Rescue Mission has provided for me all the tools I need to live a clean and healthy life.

First I must keep God as the head of my life and my house so that His will can be done. The Mission has not only provided shelter for me, but for thousands of others. The Rescue Mission has laid out a plan in which to live by. I attend several classes; relapse prevention, anger management, celebrate recovery, narcotics anonymous, alcoholics anonymous, bible study, and church services. It may sound like a lot, but its not. I have learned anything worth doing is worth working for.

I thank God for using me and Rescue Mission to help save my life, and for that I’m forever grateful and indebted to the King of kings and Lord of lords, amen.
